The Basics

We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Business Analyst to join our IT team and help us deliver world-class solutions using the ServiceNow platform. This is a unique opportunity to join while Tanium implements a new instance of ServiceNow providing the ability to build a strong business analyst practice early on. As a Senior ServiceNow Business Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders, IT leaders, and developers to understand, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, and workflows. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with the Tanium product team providing feedback and enhancements on existing integrations built in ServiceNow. Tanium and ServiceNow have recently partnered in pairing best in class automated endpoint management with the premier ITSM platform. This role will provide a unique opportunity to not only perform average analyst functions but also have an impact on bolstering the Tanium/ServiceNow “Better together” story. You will also design, configure, test, and implement ServiceNow solutions that meet the needs of Tanium's global organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, usability, and scalability of the ServiceNow solutions and providing ongoing support and enhancements.

What you'll do

  • Engage with business stakeholders and IT leaders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for ServiceNow solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Design, configure, test, and implement ServiceNow solutions using best practices and standards.
  • Perform quality assurance and user acceptance testing of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements for ServiceNow solutions, including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and applying patches and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with ServiceNow developers, administrators, and technical architects to ensure alignment and integration of ServiceNow solutions across the IT landscape.
  • Train and coach end-users and other stakeholders on how to use and optimize ServiceNow solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features, functionalities, and trends and provide recommendations for improvement and innovation.

We’re looking for someone with

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Business Analyst, or similar role, in a large and complex IT environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, etc.
  • Proficient in ServiceNow configuration, customization, workflows, reporting, and integrations. Scripting is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA), Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist, or Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD) preferred.
  • ITIL Certification preferred.
  • Experience in Agile methodology and tools, such as Scrum, Jira, etc.

What you’ll get 

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 to $275,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training and experience.
