The Senior SEO Specialist will help define and drive Fiverr's SEO strategy to fuel scalable organic growth across global markets for the core Fiverr marketplace, with a strong focus on complex marketplace dynamics and US/global search opportunities. This role requires a strategic and hands-on SEO expert who combines deep technical SEO expertise with a strong understanding of how search is evolving beyond traditional rankings into AI-powered discovery experiences.
The ideal candidate is an experienced SEO and organic growth professional with a strong background in large-scale platforms or marketplaces, and a proven ability to operate in fast-moving, cross-functional environments. The Senior SEO Specialist will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Content, and Marketing to build scalable processes, shape roadmaps, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and connect organic growth efforts directly to business performance.
In this position, you must be highly data-driven, deeply technical, and fluent in both classic SEO and emerging Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), including visibility across AI search experiences such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and other LLM-powered discovery surfaces.
What am I going to do?- Collaborate with SEO team members to develop and execute effective strategies and tactics.
- Develop, Manage, and optimize SEO strategies to improve organic search engine performance
- Monitor and analyze multiple datasets to make data-driven decisions
- Work with Product, Development, and Marketing teams to ensure correct implementation of SEO recommendations and best practices and to identify areas of improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest tools, trends, and changes with SEO and major search engines, adapting strategies as necessary.
- 5+ years of SEO experience with an international e-commerce/online company.
- Thorough knowledge of search ranking factors, key algorithm updates, and core web vitals.
- Highly familiar with GenAI as it relates to SEO
- Proficiency in web analytics tools, keyword tools, and SEO tools.
- Excellent analytical skills, the ability to interpret data and trends along meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
- A team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.

- 5+ years of SEO leadership experience in an international marketplace, e-commerce company, or complex digital platform
- Proven experience leading SEO in large-scale, complex web environments and marketplaces

- Hands-on technical SEO expertise at scale, including JavaScript SEO, crawlability, rendering, indexation, site architecture, structured data, Core Web Vitals, and technical migrations
- Highly analytical and data-driven with ability to connect SEO initiatives to KPIs such as traffic quality, conversion, and revenue impact
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build scalable processes across Product, Engineering, and Marketing, including roadmap planning and experiment design
- Experience with modern web development processes and strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Proven team leader and cross-functional manager with excellent written and verbal communication skills able to influence senior stakeholders
