Job Description

  • Design and install quality control processes, procedures, tools, and statistical techniques. 
  • Formulate quality control policies and procedures in conjunction with other engineering disciplines, operations, and suppliers and analyze the economic impact of any quality control process proposed.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, develop Quality Plan, track & report quality health and status for NPI products.
  • Identify quality risk and drive risk mitigation actions to closure to ensure product meets requirements and quality standards.
  • Review and buyoff failure analysis, i.e. validation of root cause, corrective and preventive actions to ensure repeatable robust processes are in place in maintaining quality control and preventing future defects.
  • Design and/or specify quality control sampling and testing procedures. 
  • Review and buyoff product certification test plan and report corresponding to the iterative changes throughout NPI project lifecycle.
  • Review, assess and approve NPI product readiness for release or ship acceptance
  • Assess customer and business impact for product quality issues, communicate issues globally, and drive supporting teams for issue resolution.
  • Lead and facilitate lessons learned meeting to identify systemic lessons learnt and drive institutionalization of lessons learnt across organization
  • Monitor and analyze product and process performance data, identifying trends, and drive for improvement.

Basic Requirements

  • Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or in any relevant field with prior working experience in quality. 
  • At least 5 years experience in either product development or manufacturing. 
  • Certification in quality assurance, or Six Sigma belt holder is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in usage of quality tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia (Hybrid)
