The Role

Squarespace is seeking Senior Security Engineer to lead and support enterprise-level efforts in security metrics development and analysis, vulnerability management, patch management, and security configuration management. You will focus on ensuring the organization's technology environment remains secure and resilient against cyber threats by delivering actionable security insights, maturing vulnerability management, driving patching processes, and enforcing secure configuration standards.

This is a hybrid role working from our Dublin office 3 days per week. You will report to the US based Director of Security.

You'll Get To…
  • Develop a proactive vulnerability management program using available vulnerability data.
  • Collaborate with security teams to analyze and prioritize vulnerability scan data.
  • Maintain and tune scanning tools and detection capabilities.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to validate findings and implement appropriate fixes or mitigations.
  • Track, document, and report patch compliance and aging metrics.
  • Help maintain a structured, auditable patch management process, including emergency patch deployment procedures.
  • Actively partner with infrastructure engineering on implementation, management, and operationalization of a Configuration Management System (CMDB).
  • Perform configuration audits and work with system owners to remediate drift from secure baselines.
  • Integrate configuration management with vulnerability management for a holistic risk view.
  • Define, collect, and analyze security KPIs and KRIs across the entire security organization.
  • Create security dashboards and reports for technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Mentor and support more junior team members
Who We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with hands-on work in vulnerability management, patching, or configuration management.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and cloud platforms (AWS & GCP).
  • Experience with tools such as Rapid7, GSCC, Splunk, or similar.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and very well versed in working and collaborating with stakeholders across organizational boundaries
