JOB SUMMARY
This job is responsible for the development and implementation of integrated Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies on multiple digital products and/or lines of business, markets, or segments to advance business and customer goals. It delivers SEO strategies including, but not limited to optimization of existing and new content (metadata, copy, images, etc.) as well as research including, but not limited to keywords, competitive landscape, etc. The role works with marketing strategy, content strategy, copywriters, development, UX, and digital product teams to ensure the delivery of SEO tactics and strategy across digital properties during the content lifecycle. This job requires demonstrated expertise across all SEO disciplines, focusing on on-page optimization, technical SEO performance, and reporting. This role also evaluates SEO strategy performance, develops insights, and creates recommendations to improve site SEO performance and content optimization.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops SEO strategies for a digital product or website to support customer and business goals. Helps develop SEO plans optimizing new and existing content.
- Evaluates SEO Strategy Performance.
- Implements complex, brand and market or segment specific keyword strategies for digital properties.
- Conducts extensive topical and competitive research to interpret user intent to help produce best-in-class content briefs.
- Consults with and provide SEO insights to various internal teams.
- Works with the enterprise web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Customer Journey, Tealium.
- Performs full audits of existing web properties including site architecture, technical SEO, links, backlinks, and content quality.
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field OR relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Required
- 5 years of experience as a Search Engine Optimization Analyst
- 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing
- 5 years of experience in Marketing and Communications
Preferred
- Professional experience using technology, tools, and AI in a Marketing function

SKILLS
- Understanding of Search Engine Optimization principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with web content management systems.
- Ability to inspect HTML/CSS and it's impact on SEO.

- Oversee testing of on-page components or elements.
- Strong knowledge of SEO applications, tools, and web analytics packages.
- Proactive in learning and adapting to new marketing technologies, tools, and AI-powered marketing platforms.

Pay Range Minimum:
$57,700.00Pay Range Maximum:
$107,800.00Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
