ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior SDET to strengthen quality across web and API layers using Java, REST Assured, and Playwright. This role blends a developer mindset with a shift-left testing philosophy, embedding automation directly into CI/CD pipelines. It offers the chance to build testing practices from the ground up in a fast-moving engineering environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Framework Design: Build and maintain scalable, robust automation frameworks from the ground up for both Web and API layers.
- Strategy & Leadership: Define the automation strategy, ensuring high test coverage and reliable release cycles within your squads.
- Backend Validation: Create comprehensive API automation suites to ensure the integrity of microservices.
- Frontend Validation: Implement and manage frontend automation scripts to ensure a top-tier user experience.
- Coaching: Mentor other engineers on testing best practices and foster a "quality-first" culture.
MUST HAVES
- 4+ years of experience as an SDET Engineer
- Technical Solvency: Strong programming skills in Java (a "developer-first" approach to QA).
- API Automation: Extensive experience using REST Assured for backend testing.
- Frontend Automation: Proven hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Testing Philosophy: Deep understanding of the "shift-left" approach and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work independently and provide technical direction on quality initiatives.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
NICE TO HAVES
- Domain Experience: Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
- Experience with Performance or Load testing (e.g., JMeter or Gatling).
- Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure and SQL for data validation within test scripts.
- Experience working with Mocking frameworks.
