The Firmwide Finance Business Architecture (FFBA) team is responsible for the Global Finance organization Data Acquisition & Consumption (including Credit Risk & Treasury), Financial & Management Reporting, and General Ledger (GL) Target Platform Strategies. The team has established a consolidated framework that creates opportunities for broad-scale communication, streamlined governance, and increased oversight.
A key objective of the Business Architecture Team is to manage the delivery of large-scale infrastructure programs and business process change management events to ensure accurate, complete and consistent data is readily available for both internal financial reporting and external regulatory reporting purposes, consumed by both LOB stakeholders and corporate groups.
One of the top priorities across Global Finance, Credit Risk and Liquidity is to evolve the organization to a more integrated data and reporting strategy – one that is globally consistent and usable for business, finance, risk and regulatory requirements.
As a Finance Product Owner Associate on the Business Architecture Team, you will work closely with Line of Business stakeholders, data Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Consumers and technology teams across Finance, Credit Risk & Treasury and the various Program Management teams.
The Business Architecture Core Capabilities Team is responsible for the delivery of applications and tools that enable data management, controls, data modelling and aggregation, analytics, and reporting. The Product Owner’s primary responsibility will be working on the build out and modernization of applications and services utilized for both internal and external reporting that align to critical firm-wide initiatives. The product owner will partner with users and technology delivering within an agile framework responsible for managing the prioritized backlog to ensure the team is always maximizing delivery value against the firm’s goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and build user-facing data analytics tools – dashboards, exception management, and adjustment workflows
- Own and prioritize the product backlog in an Agile/Scrum framework, maximizing delivery value against firm-wide goals
- Utilize Agile delivery methodologies, including JIRA and Confluence, to effectively manage and execute projects.
- Develop and deliver clear and tailored communication to various audiences, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
- Apply knowledge in Data Modelling, Reporting Automation, and Dashboarding, while leveraging data wrangling tools like Alteryx to enhance data processes and modernization of applications for internal and external reporting
- Organize and prioritize multiple work streams, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to tight deadlines.
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams, employing strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills to drive collaboration and achieve organizational goals.
- Manage communications, governance and delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 5+ years of experience in user-facing product ownership, ideally within financial services and/or regulatory reporting, with a strong foundation in both technical and business domains.
- Proven track record in designing and building user-centric data analytics tools, adept at managing large data volumes across diverse products.
- Strong communicator who can tailor messaging to executives, developers and business users
- Ability to swiftly assimilate both business and technical knowledge, juggling multiple work streams with tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in desktop tools (e.g., Excel) and data interaction, including SQL querying, to support both technical and business analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, leveraging collaboration and influencing skills to drive decision-making across technical and business stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of data and business intelligence concepts, including ETL, Data Modelling, and Reporting Automation, with a focus on practical application.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and highly responsible, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills that integrate technical and business insights.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Experience in Agile delivery methodologies, including JIRA and Confluence, to manage both technical and functional project aspects.
- Deep knowledge and experience with a variety of banking products, such as Loans, Deposits, Cash, Derivatives, and Securities, from both a technical and business perspective.
- Experience with UI/UX design and implementation, enhancing user interaction and experience by integrating technical functionality with user needs.
- Hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like AWS, and Databricks, leveraging these to elevate product capabilities and insights.
