We are looking for a Senior Scrum Master to join our global technology organisation based in Coimbra, Portugal, working in a hybrid model. In this role, you will lead multiple global software scrum teams and support the delivery of high‑quality software solutions in a regulated environment, while driving agile maturity and continuous improvement.
What will you be doing?
Lead multiple global software scrum teams from planning through execution using agile methodologies and best practices
Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives across multiple concurrent teams
Collaborate with Product Owners, Marketing, Field Service, R&D, Quality, and PMO to ensure priorities and sprint goals are aligned
Establish, track, and report KPIs related to predictability, efficiency, and delivery outcomes
Actively identify and remove impediments and risks that hinder team progress
Support the software release process and promote continuous improvement in ways of working
Mentor teams and stakeholders on agile principles, mindset, and practices
What will you need to be successful?
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Scrum Master, with 5+ years’ overall experience in software development, engineering, or project management
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or project management‑related field
Strong hands‑on experience with agile tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar
Solid understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and scaling frameworks
Strong communication, coaching, and conflict‑resolution skills
Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g. MedTech or Life Sciences)
Knowledge of IEC 62304 (preferred)
Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM, or equivalent
The anticipated gross annual base compensation range for this position is 40 000 –60 000 Euro.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on objective, job related factors including (but not limited to) relevant skills, qualifications and experience, scope and responsibilities of the role, geographic location and internal equity considerations. Compensation decisions are made using consistent and gender neutral criteria, in line with applicable pay transparency laws. This role has been evaluated within our internal job architecture and mapped to a defined pay band to ensure consistency and fairness.
