Introduction:
We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Scrum Master to lead Agile teams in delivering mission-critical software solutions across federal, defense, and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of experience in Agile project leadership, a strong understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), and a proven track record of improving team performance and delivering high-impact products.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach cross-functional teams on Agile principles and best practices to enhance velocity and reduce cycle time.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize backlogs, and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage Agile tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Confluence to track progress and generate reports.
- Remove impediments and proactively resolve issues to maintain team focus and productivity.
- Support Agile transformation initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Coordinate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Agile project management and software development environments.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – Scrum Alliance.
- Experience with SAFe, Agile XP, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, IBM BlueWorks Live, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Project.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working in high-security environments with classified and unclassified projects.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
Location:
This role is onsite in the D.C. Metro area.
Citizenship and Clearance Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance with U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) and Agile Team Facilitator (ICP-ATF).
- Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker) and REST API integration.
- Background in business analysis, QA testing, and data reporting (SQL, Excel, Tableau).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Operations Management, or related field.
