Role Overview:
We are seeking exceptional Senior Scrum Masters that will ensure that development teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices, as well as providing mentorship, eliminating team impediments, and improving our processes and decision-making. To succeed in this position, you will need a firm grasp of agile practices, strong problem-solving and project management skills, and the interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively manage development teams.
The role is onsite, with an opportunity to switch to hybrid later on.
Responsibilities:- Use agile methodology, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions
- Train, mentor, and support scrum teams
- Determine and manage tasks and action items
- Schedule and facilitate scrum meetings and events, including sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily standups
- Monitor progress and performance and help the team to make improvements
- Manage project scope and timeline and track project processes, deliverables, and financials
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards
- Plan and organize demos and product and/or system testing
- Manage issues and risks and remove impediments from the scrum team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external communications with customers and stakeholders
- Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders
- Participate in agile bootcamps and upskilling agile early adapters squads/teams.
About the contract:
- The role is a long-term (one-year renewable) contract position through Xenon7, which is the approved vendor of the client.
- The payments are paid out in gross amount in USD on a monthly schedule.
- 5+ years of experience on a scrum team
- Scrum master certification, is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field
- Experience in a leadership or management role
- Experience in a scrum master role, preferred
- Experience successfully utilizing Agile techniques
- In-depth knowledge of scrum techniques and artifacts
- Knowledge of other Agile frameworks
- Knowledge of software development
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent Agile delivery practices build plan, planning, conflict management, dependency and risk management and stakeholders management.
- Fluency in English and/or Arabic
