Position Summary
The Senior Scientist supports Neogene’s efforts in developing TCR-based immunotherapies for solid tumors within the Translational Sciences group. Your work will support data quality control and analysis for clinical sample processing. You will be based onsite in Santa Monica, CA and reporting into a Senior Scientist.
Responsibilities
- Analyze clinical biospecimen data with a focus on complex flow cytometry datasets and reporting of results in the form of presentations or written reports.
- Develop data-driven insights to support Translational correlative analyses and implementation of future assays and processes.
- Perform and accurate peer data audits and monitor data quality, in compliance with in-house and regulatory standards across multiple clinical programs.
- Collaborate with other Translational team members to ensure seamless data flow and enforce reporting to address any discrepancies.
- Review and author SOPs, qualification reports, and other related documents.
- Analyze, organize, and communicate results at different research meetings. Participate in project teams and work to ensure understanding. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's with minimum of 7 years' experience or Master's with 4 years with a degree in immunology, cellular or tumor biology or in a relevant discipline with related lab or industry experience.
- Background in immunology and immunotherapy.
- Well-versed in cell culture aseptic techniques, multi-color flow cytometry (10+ colors), PCR, MSD/ELISA, and other cellular assays. Experience with spectral flow cytometry is a plus.
- Familiarity with working with large datasets and with associated data analysis and visualization software (i.e. Cytobank/OMIQ/FCS Express, Tableau/Spotfire/JMP) is a plus.
- Will accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description.
- You will work with biological and/or chemical hazards.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $108,757 to $163,136. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
