Become part of Hempel’s expanding & diverse R&D Passive Fire Protection team in our new state of the art Centre of Excellence. We are looking for senior chemists that will be passionate about developing & supporting the next generation of Cellulosic & Hydrocarbon PFP products we offer our global clients.
You will have the unique opportunity to report directly to our R&D Manager for Passive Fire Protection, be based on our office in Spain - Santa Perpetua de Mogoda and cooperate with other colleagues from all over the world. What you can look forward to in this Role:
- Product development or product maintenance for PFP R&D which requires knowledge of several disciplines in Cellulosic and/or Hydrocarbon PFP to improve, or generate new products and processes
- Plan, design, conduct and report fundamental research.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest business impact of the projects
What does it take to become our new team member?
- University degree in technical studies (Engineering) or Chemistry would be valuable
- Good chemical background
- Good Project Management Skills
- Proven experience in the coating business including PFP Cellulosic &/or Hydrocarbon
- Specific knowledge of the paints and coatings technologies would be valuable
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
- Computer skills
