- Lead strategic innovation projects and develop novel chemical synthesis solutions to support business growth.
- Design, execute, and evaluate organic synthesis experiments from laboratory scale through pilot and production scale-up.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes by leveraging available technologies, scientific expertise, and operational resources.
- Troubleshoot reaction and process challenges associated with production and scale-up activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory to ensure successful technology transfer.
- Conduct competitor and technology landscape analysis to identify emerging opportunities and maintain technical leadership.
- Provide advanced technical support for existing product portfolios and new product development initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, process efficiency, product quality, and sustainability.
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial R&D experience in organic synthesis or related fields.
- Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry and reaction mechanism analysis.
- Hands-on experience with analytical techniques including GC, GC-MS, and NMR.
- Proven ability to independently design experiments, analyze data, and solve complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional and international teams.
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of chemical engineering principles and process development.
- Experience in manufacturing scale-up and commercial production environments.
- Experience working within the flavors, fragrances, specialty chemicals, fine chemicals, or related industries.
- Track record of innovation, patents, publications, or successful commercialization projects.
