Job Summary
Focus Areas:
Your focus will be on Taste analytical research using chromatographic techniques and a wide suite of detectors, with strong attention to GC/HPLC combined with MS and automation of the entire workflow. You are expected to assume an intellectually leading role in non-volatile quantitation. You will carefully balance fit-for-purpose methods with extensively validated methods.
Role Involvement:
This role involves conducting bench experiments employing a broad knowledge of organic, analytical, and physical chemistry. You will exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results for project advancement.Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Contribute to cutting-edge R&D programs such as:
- Remaster Meat: Deliver analytical insights into fat/fatty acid speciation and phospholipid profiling.
- Reimagine Wellness: Support the identification and development of non-volatile target molecules from modeling and natural modulator systems.
- Reimagine Simple: Enable clean-label product innovation through advanced analytical expertise.
- Develop and document sophisticated analytical workflows and processes.
- Analyze complex datasets to solve technical challenges and guide decision-making.
- Represent the analytical function in cross-functional project teams.
- Manage assigned project areas with technical leadership.
- Collaborate with global teams to drive innovation in product development.
- Advanced expertise in chromatographic techniques (LC, IC, GPC, SEC) and detectors (UV, ELSD, RID, MS).
- Strong background in sample preparation and analytical automation.
- Solid foundation in organic chemistry and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with 3+ years of industry experience, or MS with 9+ years.
- Proven problem-solving skills in complex technical environments.
- Track record of innovation in analytical technology development.
- Experience with high-throughput analytical applications.
- Exceptional communication skills in English; Dutch language skills are a strong asset.
- Ability to work seamlessly across sensory, analytical, and product development teams.
