As a member of a cross functional team, you lead RDQ activities required to complete process design and process deployment for innovation, growth and cost optimization projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.
How you will contribute
Working independently, you will lead technical work across multiple projects aligned with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will also lead activities designed to generate appropriate process information using modelling and simulation, and pilot plant scale up and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. You will be involved with/lead process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning and will ensure the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies. This position requires you to manage stakeholders and to influence decisions based on data analysis and interpretation of results; create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications; leverage connections to internal and external technical communities, and; create intellectual property that gives Mondelēz International a competitive advantage.

The role requires strong creative thinking skills and the ability to imagine future possibilities. The candidate will provide consumer centricity and technical leadership within the Global Gum platform team, applying rapid and iterative experimentation to turn ideas into innovative solutions that drive category growth. The individual will participate in the early stages of consumer-led product development lifecycle from concept to development.

  • Bring creative thinking to the platform development team to enable the discovery of new connections inspired by observation of consumers and close tracking of trends and technical insights
  • Apply knowledge of food science principles and ingredient functionality to create and develop prototypes and formulations for the global gum innovation pipeline
  • Partner closely with global/regional partners, consumer science, M&S, process and package teams to ideate and bring to life consumer-led product solutions by means of rapid prototyping through to scale-up feasibility
  • Support R&D efforts to influence business partners to drive project agenda; build effective relationships with colleagues, cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Leverage sources beyond own area of recognized expertise within the organization to ensure effectiveness
  • Drive excellence in Project Management, including developing objectives and recommending action plans to implement key findings
  • Plan and execute work plans, including development of risk assessments and contingency plans
  • Identify and efficiently utilize necessary resources to achieve timely delivery of project objectives
  • Act as a technical resource for entry-level members of the RD&Q community

  • Fluid English level required
