The Senior Scientist, DMPK will be responsible for providing scientific leadership and project management support for drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) activities across multiple discovery and development programs. This role will serve as a key DMPK representative for projects at different stages, from early discovery to IND-enabling and clinical development, ensuring the successful integration of DMPK strategies into drug development pipelines.
Summary: The Senior Scientist, DMPK will be responsible for providing scientific leadership and project management support for drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) activities across multiple discovery and development programs. This role will serve as a key DMPK representative for projects at different stages, from early discovery to IND-enabling and clinical development, ensuring the successful integration of DMPK strategies into drug development pipelines.
Essential Functions:
· Serve as the DMPK project manager and representative for multiple drug discovery and development projects, including internal and collaborative programs.
· Provide strategic DMPK input and guidance to multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring timely decision-making for project advancement, especially for discovery stage projects.
· Manage and interpret in vitro and in vivo ADME, PK, and PK/PD data to support lead optimization and candidate selection.
· Collaborate with internal and external partners to design and execute discovery, IND-enabling DMPK studies, ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity.
· Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with global health teams, academic institutions, and external partners on discovery and development projects.
· Mentor and provide scientific guidance to junior team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
· Representing Global Eisai DMPK team in IQ Working group
Requirements:
· Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
· Strong expertise in DMPK principles, including in vitro and in vivo ADME, PK/PD, and IND-enabling studies.
· Experience with regulatory submissions (IND, NDA) and understanding of FDA and ICH guidelines.
· Proven track record of managing DMPK aspects of drug discovery and development projects.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
· Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Eisai Salary Transparency Language:
The base salary range for the Senior Scientist, DMPK is from :131,100-172,100
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan.
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
