Job Description:
Patterson Companies is going through an exciting period of change driven by the evolution of our SAP Systems and strategic business incentives. We have an exciting opportunity on our SAP Enterprise Business Services team. Processes and technology will require employees to learn new skills and capabilities and we are currently seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative SAP Functional Analyst. This role includes a technology and business process focus.
As part of your role, you will work as part of the Functional IT team to develop an in-depth understanding of the Patterson SAP System, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, project management, system configuration and user support.

Work directly with the business to understand/improve the business processes supported by the SAP software solution area assigned as well as gain an understanding of the underlying business requirements being supported
Understand the SAP software, our design and setup, how to modify it and test it in assigned areas including complex cross functional config
Engage in creating/updating documentation needed by various teams in the process of providing support to the SAP software solution
Lead the SAP support process; become proficient at the tools used to track support issues (Service Now) and effectively manage tickets within your area
Work with end users on issues that they are experiencing, including troubleshooting, analysis, and issue replication in a non-production environment
Take ownership of issues and problems in SAP in your assigned areas; troubleshoot, propose solutions, work to confirm solutions, implement and unit test
Participate in integration test cycles as a tester; learn how to use the testing tool for script maintenance and recording results
Lead efforts within your business stream as well as across business streams to design/support the end to end business process and to ensure that SAP changes in your area have the desired down-stream impacts
Lead project efforts within your area of expertise Additional functions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 5 years of SAP experience with expert knowledge in at least one functional area of SAP such as Order Management (Order to Cash)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Ability to work effectively within a team and build strong working relationships with all levels within the organization
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and task follow-up skills in a fast-paced and changing environment. Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner and meeting assigned deadlines
Willingness to work extended hours that may be required to meet project deadlines
Strong listening and interpersonal skills
Ability to conduct research into systems issues as required
Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and deliver result
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior level management and key stakeholders
Experience with project planning preferred
Experience working with business software modules (CRM, WMS, Order Management, Field Service, Finance, Call Center, Marketing, Supply/Demand Planning)
Physical Demands
Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday
May occasionally need to move packages up to 10 pounds such as office supplies or equipment
Must be able to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing
Must be able to understand and effectively exchange accurate information with others such as coworkers, customers and vendors

Environmental Factors
This position is in an office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building’s primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services.
Travel and On-call
This position requires minimal travel (10%) in a national area

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills.
