BigCommerce is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join our Business Applications team.  As a key member of our development group, you will be reporting to the Biz Apps Sr. Manager.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, capable of designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions that align with our business objectives. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance our CRM capabilities and ensure optimal performance.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, develop, and implement customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives.

  • Utilize Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies to build robust and scalable applications

  • Integrate Salesforce with other systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency

  • Develop and maintain APIs (SOAP and REST) for effective system integrations

  • Lead technical aspects of Salesforce projects, providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers and administrators.

  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues, implementing enhancements as necessary

  • Stay updated with Salesforce releases and new features, proactively recommending and implementing system improvements

  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to development standard system configuration, development, and integration

  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal security policies

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of professional Salesforce Development experience

  • Proven experience with Salesforce products and APIs, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components

  • Salesforce.com certification is required: Administrator, Platform Developer, Application Architect, System Architect or Certified Technical Architect

  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system issues promptly

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience working in collaborative team environments, demonstrating a proactive and innovative approach

  • Understanding of code promotion, version control, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes

  • Sales Cloud Expertise: Knowledge of Lead & Opportunity Management, Account & Contact Management, and Sales Process Automation using Flows, Process Builder, and Approval Processes. Experience with Einstein Lead Scoring and Activity Capture

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - collaborate, facilitate, and negotiate as necessary

  • You are passionate about patterns and practices that tame the complexities of building, maintaining and testing Salesforce Solutions

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Communities, Case Management, Omni-Channel Routing, Service Console, and Knowledge Base

  • Experience with Products, Price Books, Quotes, and CPQ (Salesforce CPQ or third-party tools). Expertise in Forecasting, Sales Agreements, and Territory Management to optimize pipeline and revenue tracking

  • Experience with Salesforce Community and Knowledge preferred

  • Impartner or Marketo experience

(Pay Transparency range: $127,000.00 - $190,000.00)


The exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s location, relevant knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
