We are seeking a strong Salesforce developer and Release Management Specialist for a Salesforce Digital Transformation Center (DTC). The DTC is an operational Center of Excellence that manages a multi-org Salesforce environment in which program areas throughout our federal client’s organization build mission applications. The platform includes most of Salesforce’s products including Public Sector Solutions, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data360, Agentforce, Shield, Own Backup, Tableau, and Mulesoft. The DTC manages the platform and supports its tenant customer application teams.
As part of a rock star Salesforce technical team, the primary function of this role is to manage the platform and support all DTC operations to include solution consultation, design/code reviews, execution of the CI/CD process, Incident Response, and advanced system administration support activities. The candidate will also provide assistance in establishing new platform services, technology standards, security standards, and technical briefings for federal agency stakeholders.
This position requires a strong Salesforce development background, experience administering mid-to-large-sized Salesforce orgs, hands-on Git-based CI/CD performance, supporting security assessments, maintaining governance documentation, and identifying, analyzing, and managing business and technical requirements for federal government projects. The successful candidate will drive tasks to completion, is self-motivated, driven, and has experience with various Salesforce products and Docusign.
This is a client facing role where a developer-level knowledge of the Salesforce platform is expected, including familiarity with core platform capabilities, common system/user administration tasks, system integrations, programmatic (code) and declarative (no-code) configuration mechanics. Clear and concise communication is crucial – both within the DTC team and when engaging government stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to meaningfully engage equally with technical resources, government Program & Contract staff, and executives.
Responsibilities:
Manage the onboarding of new DTC customer project teams onto the platform.
Conduct design reviews with tenant application teams to ensure conformance to Salesforce best practices, DOT security standards, and coexistence with other tenants in the org.
Perform deployments and production releases on behalf of the tenant application teams using GitHub and GitActions.
Handle O&M cases for tenant app teams that often require advanced administrator skills to include SSO setup, certificate rotation, custom domain management, reestablishment of connected services after sandbox refreshes, Data Loader activities, interaction with network teams, etc.
Support Incident Response activities in accordance with contractual SLAs.
Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call Incident Response rotation with the rest of the team.
Participate in routine meetings such as daily client status calls, daily team standups, weekly & bi-weekly calls with DTC tenant customers, and other operational calls as required.
Participate in platform ATO renewal assessments and mid-year changes.
Conduct DTC customer technical design reviews with Salesforce architects.
Write policy and procedure documentation based on Salesforce best practices and manage the DTC Governance Library.
Recommend ways to enhance and increase the efficiency of DTC operations and tool sets, and then lead the implementations.
Required Skills:
3+ Years experience as a Salesforce Developer equally proficient in declarative (no-code) and programmatic (code) development and troubleshooting. Experience must include writing/analyzing Apex, Lightning Web Components, YAML, and other coding languages common in enterprise Salesforce environments, Mulesoft, and pipeline management.
3+ Years experience performing deployments and administering CI/CD pipelines in the context of Salesforce and GitHub as source control.
Active Salesforce Certified Administrator and Platform Developer certifications (provide Trailblazer profile link).
US Citizenship or Green Card only.
Ability to obtain a federal government public trust clearance.
Residence in the United States with the ability to support US Eastern time zone work hours between 8 am and 6 pm.
Occasional after-hours support can be required for P1/P2 incident response and prescheduled deployment activities. This position will join an 24x7 on-call rotation with other DTC technical staff.
Preferred Skills:
Active Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Consultant, and/or Architect certifications (provide Trailblazer profile link).
Experience with enterprise data governance and cloud-based data warehousing technologies, and/or Salesforce Data 360.
Experience building and deploying Agentforce agents.
3 Years of providing Salesforce consultation to clients regarding Salesforce fit analysis, mapping of customer requirements to platform capabilities, and high-level solution architecture.
Understanding of OmniStudio, its components, and the use cases it supports.
Basic understanding of Salesforce core CRM data models and toolsets associate with Platform, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, CRM Analytics, and other core CRM-related add-ons
Familiarity with Salesforce AppExchange utilities and peripheral services such as Docusign and Own.
Demonstrated critical thinking, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and produce polished and well-organized written deliverables.
