Role Value Proposition:
As a Senior Salesforce Software Development Engineer you are responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of solutions for MetLife's Customer Solutions Center; focusing on Einstein AI capabilities and solutions. You will create functionality and solve problems in Salesforce software using a variety of web languages, software programs, and technologies. Timely and quality delivery of these solutions is based on a set of standards and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise, data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organization and the business goals and objectives. You will have an opportunity to impact every part of the system, foster and cultivate your curiosity and iterate over solutions to be the very best you can be to deliver for our customers. This role sits within a smaller team which provides the opportunity for the right person to take ownership of broader responsibilities, such as Scrum Lead who can support various releases and as support assisting the Product Owner of multiple products with the full-stack engineering responsibilities being the primary focus.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the creation of Salesforce architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.
  • Responsible for detailed technical design and development of Salesforce Applications ensuring they accommodate the dynamic nature of AI technologies.
  • Develop architectural guidelines and standard processes for AI model development.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to discover AI related reusable datasets, design patterns, components, libraries, and infrastructure to help optimize cost and find multi-functional commonalities.
  • Proactively identify potential architectural risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, safeguarding the integrity and security of our AI solutions
  • Investigate and resolve production management incidents, problems, and service requests.
  • Identifies and implements operating efficiency solutions for specific product feature.
  • Assists in upgrading or patching applications/platforms as needed.
  • Gain awareness of trends and issues in area of technical expertise, potential new technologies or technology opportunities to champion the customer.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Salesforce Developer or in a similar senior technical role
  • Certified Salesforce Developer with experience in Lightning, Apex, and custom development
  • Track record of building large-scale innovative AI products and solutions
  • Proficiency with, at least, web languages such as JavaScript, Typescript, PHP
  • Proficiency with various database technologies and solutions, including both SQL and NoSQL
  • Proficiency with modern web framework such as Node.js, AngularJS or VueJS
  • Cross functional leadership: organize, motivate, and lead those outside of the team


Preferred:

  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics
  • Strong familiarity with Generative AI concepts and technologies, and understanding of different LLMs
  • Experience with Python, Jupyter Notebook, and API or data analysis libraries such as Pandas or NumPy
  • Experience in building the LWC components in Salesforce Lighting App
  • DevOps practices for CI/CD, release management, and automation using Azure DevOps, Selenium, JUnit, or similar technologies
  • Git-based repositories such as GitHub, Bitbucket or Azure Repos
  • Microsoft Azure Services: Functions, Kubernetes, CosmosDB, Storage, App Service
