SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Sales Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in optimizing sales operations, closely collaborating with the Engle Martin Business Development/Marketing team and various internal stakeholders, including the C-suite, to streamline the RFP process and enhance client relationships. In this dynamic position, everyday looks different as the Senior Sales Support Specialist crafts comprehensive proposals, executes essential sales administrative tasks for effective account management, and actively contributes as a data-centric professional. Additionally, the role includes managing the creation and updates of client instructions ensuring alignment with client expectations. The Senior Sales Support Specialist also assists in developing and managing workflows/processes in CRM.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategically aligns with company goals, vision, and financial parameters to expertly craft proposals, including the development of project plans and proactive management of sales timelines. Ensures proposals not only meet client needs but are also delivered with precision within designated timeframes.
  • Proficiently refines and designs impactful sales documents, utilizing various communication mediums such as graphic layouts and PowerPoint presentations to effectively articulate sales propositions.
  • Engages with subject matter experts across diverse functions (IT, HR, Operations, etc.) to generate compelling content supporting sales responses. Ensures the currency of descriptions and materials used for sales pitches through collaborative efforts.
  • Utilizes content provided by subject matter experts to update and maintain stored data for future use, enhancing communication efficiency regarding services, team capabilities, and client success stories. Additionally, employs an RFP tool to audit and update responses, ensuring consistency across all communication materials.
  • Communicates transparently on sales progress to all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative approach to closing deals and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Manages the creation and updates of client instructions for all new clients, renewal clients, and annual pricing increases, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
  • Assists with the creation of pricing proposals and contract tracking for various divisions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Translates sales opportunities from the sales team into actionable steps within the CRM, maintaining accurate CRM contact data records.
  • Trains and hosts various sessions for sales teams on CRM workflows, pipeline management, and independence within the tool, ensuring seamless adoption and fostering comfort with its features.
  • Assists in constructing and disseminating reports based on Sales team requests within CRM and Power BI platforms, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborates with IT and the Reporting Team to develop recurring, automated reporting tools and processes that empower the Sales Team to drive revenue growth.
  • Conducts quarterly market research on customers and competitors, analyzing trends, service offerings, and strategies. Recommends new products or improvements to existing ones to enhance the sales portfolio.
  • Tracks incoming sales opportunities, collaborating with the appropriate salesperson for seamless deal processing and client relationship management.
  • Creates impactful Client Success Reports using Power BI and other systems, tailoring reports based on internal Sales requests to showcase value and build lasting client relationships.
  • Assists the Business Development team in identifying client characteristics for targeted marketing campaigns, contributing to a proactive and strategic approach to customer acquisition.
  • Proactively takes on additional tasks and duties as needed, addressing client needs and directing effective problem resolution to ensure customer satisfaction and drive future sales opportunities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, risk management, or a related field. Knowledge of the Claims industry preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of hands-on sales support experience, with a proven track record in CRM management, CRM systems (Dynamics 365, Salesforce) and adept coordination of RFP responses and sales proposals and using RFP management tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and PowerBi
  • Possesses 1-2 years of basic HTML proficiency
