The Role
Xylem Water Sales and Services is hiring a Senior Sales Representative to manage and grow a well-established territory within the Light Industry Division, covering the Boston, MA area. In this role, you will sell tailored, high-purity and wastewater treatment solutions while serving as the primary customer contact throughout the full sales and service lifecycle. You will drive year-over-year growth by strengthening customer relationships, expanding preventative maintenance services, and identifying new business opportunities.
This role requires residency within the territory and regular engagement with the local branch office.
Core Responsibilities
Drive new business by generating qualified leads, developing prospects, and closing sales opportunities.
Manage and grow existing customer accounts by maintaining regular engagement, ensuring satisfaction, and expanding service offerings.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned territory, prioritizing key accounts and growth opportunities.
Conduct on-site customer visits, sales presentations, and negotiations while maintaining strong safety and service standards.
Guide opportunities through all stages of the sales pipeline using CRM tools for forecasting and SIOP planning.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery, issue resolution, and long-term customer retention.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in the water treatment industry.
Experience selling commercial or industrial water treatment solutions.
Basic knowledge of water treatment systems and methods.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a territory-based role.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency using CRM systems and data-driven sales tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of water treatment technologies including water softening, carbon filtration, reverse osmosis, UV purification, and deionization.
Adjacent industry experience such as chemical water treatment for boilers, cooling towers, and chillers.

What We Can Offer You
Estimated on-target earnings (base + incentive) range: $125,000 – $185,000, plus a company vehicle.
Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
Compensation is based on skills, experience, and work location and is not typically offered at the top of the range.
