WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role will report to the MPU (Marketplace Unit) Director and will work closely with cross-functional teammates in Merchandising, Planning, MPO (Marketplace Operations) and the Partnership Transformation team to ensure smooth business continuity. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships with retail partners to strengthen our account and put our marketplace strategies into full force.

We are looking for a talent to join our team with a high degree of curiosity and learning agility, excellent strategic account planning and project organizational skills, and an ability to communicate effectively with account and internal cross-functional teams.

This role will work together to support and drive the consumer focus, strategy development, marketing plans and manage relationships with key partners who authenticate our brand in the marketplace. The successful candidate will identify product opportunities and implement product strategies, stay current on product and product changes, and display strong customer service skills by developing and maintaining relationships with key customer personnel at all levels of the customers business. This role will elevate Nike retail and move Nike retail forward to meet the company’s future strategy.

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of field sales management in the athletic industry that includes field sales, retail buying, merchandising, sales business planning, or sales business analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education.
  • Possess strong knowledge of the athletic industry both from product knowledge and marketplace trends.
  • Ability and vision to provide 360-degree business solutions given the dynamic multi-brand retail scene.
  • Experience in successfully implementing various sales programs, policies, procedures, and methodologies and experience in utilizing financial decision making, models and translating results into business plans and accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Ability to prepare, plan and deliver clear and persuasive presentations, and think strategically by providing problem-solving solutions.
  • Domestic travel may be required to visit retail marketplace once per quarter.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English and Japanese), with ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives. Able to influence both cross functionally and vertically within the organization.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a Senior Sales Representative, you will create and coordinate the execution of seasonal business plans to grow youth culture, and Sporting Goods marketplace.

  • Develop seasonal business plans and revenue targets.
  • Co-create seasonal marketing plans to launch Nike products with accounts and cross functional teams.
  • Track weekly sales data, gather marketplace trends and consumer insights, and report.
  • Elevate the marketplace by working with accounts to redefine their business strategy and seeking new sales opportunities.
