In our organisation, a successful Senior Sales Executive will be continually driving revenue growth whilst building a deep knowledge of our clients and their requirements and challenges. Our approach is to create and manage long term relationships through solution and insight selling. Our partnership with clients ensures we are the supplier of choice. 

As a Senior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the success of an assigned territory and partnering with key senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

Key Essential Job Functions:

  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.

  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.

  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.

  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.

  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.

  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.

  • Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities advantages and compares organization’s products/services.

  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.

  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.

  • Strong target orientation.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Pro- active planner and forward thinker.

  • Strong technical ability.

  • Ability to achieve results in partnership with others.

  • Comfortable speaking with top C-level professionals.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).

  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact relationship management software e.g. Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Graduate Level.

  • Fluency in German & English (written & spoken)

  • Sales experience preferred, with a focus on building and maintaining key personal and professional relationships.

  • Ability to work under pressure; friendly and confident manners; good judgement and ability to make decisions.

  • M&A experience is a plus.
