Job DescriptionSenior Sales Engineer
A Senior Sales Engineer at Strategy plays a leading role in the sales of our world class enterprise platform. Senior Sales Engineers work closely with the sales team and sales leadership to manage existing clients and to cultivate prospective clients. The goal of the Sales Engineer is to secure the technical win through the creation of high quality technical content including presentations, demonstrations, Proofs of Concepts and RFP responses.
Candidates should be located on the East Coast, as the role requires travel to clients throughout the region
Job Duties (include but not limited to) :
Independently develops and delivers outstanding Strategy presentations and demonstrations that range from standard to custom and complex demonstrations.
Effectively communicates with senior IT and business decision makers. Confident even in tense or adversarial situations. Leads conversations in a professional, deliberate, persuasive and coordinated manner.
Coordinates and manages – across organizations – all aspects of pre and post sales activities in alignment with sales objectives.
Participates in Strategy’s annual conference and other marketing events while actively attracting prospects and clients to these events.
Contributes Best Practices to Sales Engineering Economy on a constant basis.
Has considerable technical expertise on all Strategy technology as well as complementary technologies such as Data modeling, security, Big Data, etc.
Has considerable knowledge and provides valuable answers, responses and artifacts on top competitors.
Job Requirements
BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience (e.g., presales, sales, marketing, consulting, and/or training).
Experience with Business Analytics systems or relational database management systems a major plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification. Ability to translate technical advantages into business benefits.
Ability to present with confidence and successfully handles objections and controls the audience. Ability to articulate complex topics to novice, technical and/or business audiences.
Demonstrable ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to execute multiple tasks successfully and breakdown complex assignment into manageable tasks. Demonstrable experience in a project team lead role.
Successful completion of Strategy certification program upon employment.
Ability to travel as needed.
