Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Go-To-Market (GTM) Sales Engineer with 4-7 years of experience in IT services, Business Development, and Pre-Sales within the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) industry. The ideal candidate will drive market expansion, accelerate revenue growth through innovative GTM strategies and develop strategic partnerships with customers/FinTech.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Enablement

  • Develop and execute comprehensive GTM strategies for IT services and solutions targeting banking, capital markets, wealth management, and fintech sectors 

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, and customer engagement

  • Lead pre-sales activities including solution presentations, RFP responses, solution demonstrations and proposal development 

  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting

Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, regulatory changes, and technology adoption patterns in BFSI

  • Analyze competitive landscape and develop differentiated positioning strategies

  • Collaborate with product teams to align offerings with market demands and customer pain points

  • Track industry developments including digital transformation, AI/ML adoption, cloud migration, and regulatory compliance requirements

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and key decision-makers at banking and financial institutions

  • Understand client business challenges and map appropriate IT solutions (Digital Transformation, AI/ML, Cloud, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Gen AI, Agentic AI)

  • Drive consultative selling approach with focus on value-based outcomes 

  • Manage key account relationships and identify cross-sell/upsell opportunities

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure seamless transition from sales to implementation

  • Work closely with marketing teams on campaigns, events, and thought leadership initiatives

  • Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams for solution design and demos

  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams for contract negotiations

Required Skills:

  • 4-7 years of progressive experience in IT services sales, business development, or pre-sales

  • Proven track record of selling IT solutions to Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance clients

  • Experience with enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders

  • Demonstrated success in achieving/exceeding revenue targets

Domain Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of BFSI industry including:

  • Core Banking Systems & Digital Banking

  • Payment Processing & Transaction Banking

  • Wealth Management & Capital Markets

  • Regulatory Compliance (KYC/AML, Basel, GDPR)

  • Risk Management & Fraud Detection

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies: AI/ML, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Blockchain, RPA, Agentic AI, Gen AI

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute market entry strategies

  • Communication: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Analytical Skills: Strong business acumen with ability to analyze market data and customer insights

  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives
