Forcepoint has an exciting opportunity to join our team in Italy as a Sales Engineer.
This role is pivotal in supporting our sales efforts and driving customer success. You will work closely with an assigned sales representative, sharing a joint quota and collaborating to create and execute territory and account plans. Building strong relationships with partners and enabling them to position and implement Forcepoint solutions will be a key part of your success.
About the Role
We are looking for a professional with a strong background in Web Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), DSPM, and Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) technologies. Experience in positioning security solutions for large enterprise customers is essential. You will join a highly successful team of Sales Engineers who value collaboration and mutual support. While each team member is accountable for their territory, we work together to ensure collective success—team players thrive here.
As the industry evolves, we are transitioning from traditional network and data security products to a Data-First SASE architecture. Many customers are moving at different speeds, so you should feel comfortable working with both legacy solutions (NGFW, DLP, Web Security) and modern architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical discussions with customers to understand and document their environment, focusing on network security, DLP, and intellectual property protection needs. Recommend appropriate Forcepoint solutions.
Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to technical and business decision-makers, including whiteboarding and technical Q&A sessions.
Provide technical support and guidance for Forcepoint cybersecurity technologies.
Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to design and deploy cybersecurity solutions for pilots and proof-of-concept projects.
Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Prepare technical documentation, including trade studies, cost-benefit analyses, white papers, and RFI/RFP responses.
Coordinate with Product Specialists during sales activities.
Work with partners and professional services teams to ensure project alignment with customer expectations.
Maintain state-of-the-art demo and lab environments.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in cybersecurity and technical sales engineering.
Hands-on experience with Web Security and Data Loss Prevention solutions.
Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills.
Experience working with enterprise accounts.
Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical teams and C-level executives.
Solid understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, proxies, firewalls, routers, and network architectures.
Familiarity with Linux/Windows system administration (preferred).
Ability to design security architectures and understand customer requirements.
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
Don’t meet every single qualification? Studies show people are hesitant to apply if they don’t meet all requirements listed in a job posting. Forcepoint is focused on building an inclusive and diverse workplace – so if there is something slightly different about your previous experience, but it otherwise aligns and you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply. You could be a great candidate for this or other roles on our team.
