Join our dynamic team as a Senior Sales Engineer where you will provide vital technical support to our sales team during pre-sales and customer expansion activities. You’ll act as the go-to technical resource for security assessments, RFPs, and pilot implementations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions. Your insights will shape product strategies, ensuring our offerings align with market needs and customer feedback.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide technical support during pre-sales by answering questions, conducting demos, and addressing RFPs and security assessments.
- Identify customer needs and propose relevant products or services to align with their goals.
- Gain customer trust by demonstrating how our solutions improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and save time.
- Establish strong customer relationships to understand current and future requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge by attending workshops, networking, and staying abreast of industry developments.
- Act as a liaison between sales, product, engineering, EMR, compliance, and legal teams to ensure seamless communication and deal progression.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years in technical pre-sales roles.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to sell based on customer needs.
- Strong presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in general programming and requirements analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must live within a reasonable distance of a major airport to accommodate frequent travel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Technical Expertise:
- Experience with SQL, JSON, JQ, Python, Snowflake, AWS, HL7.
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athena) and HIPAA security protocols.
- Background knowledge of genetic testing, NGS, and bioinformatic analysis (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and effectively.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Duties are performed in an office setting and/or in the field.
- Requires frequent use of a computer keyboard, telephone communication, and reading printed material.
- May involve working outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed.
- Up to 50% travel required to meet with customers and team members.
