About Mimecast
Mimecast started in email security — and we're still a recognised leader in it. But today we're much more than that. Through strategic acquisitions and organic development, Mimecast has built a connected Human Risk Management platform that spans email security, data protection and insider risk, security awareness training, digital communications governance, and AI-powered threat intelligence. We protect over 42,000 organizations worldwide, focused on a problem the industry is only now catching up to: the human layer is the biggest attack surface in cybersecurity, and managing it requires more than point products. We're growing our Sales Engineering team in ANZ and looking for a Senior Sales Engineer who can bring that full platform story to life for enterprise customers and channel partners across the region.
About the position
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you'll own the technical strategy and execution across complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise opportunities. This is a senior, customer- and partner-facing role — you'll lead proof-of-value engagements, present to executive audiences, and act as a technical mentor to junior SEs across the region. Channel is central to how Mimecast scales in ANZ, so a strong track record of enabling and selling through distribution and reseller partners is essential.
You'll be supported by regional SE leadership while also being looked to as a source of technical and commercial judgment for the team.
What You'll Do
Own the technical strategy for complex, multi-product enterprise opportunities — from discovery through proof-of-value to technical close
Deliver executive-level presentations and demonstrations to IT, security, and business stakeholders
Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to build deal strategy, qualify opportunities, and align solutions to customer outcomes
Lead and scope proof-of-value engagements tied to defined success criteria, including more complex or strategic deployments
Mentor and coach junior Sales Engineers on technical depth, deal strategy, and presentation skill
Support RFP, RFI, and tender responses with accuracy and commercial awareness
Enable channel and distribution partners through joint selling, technical enablement sessions, and partner-facing content
Maintain timely and accurate opportunity and POV notes in SFDC
Contribute to field marketing activities including webinars, events, and thought leadership
