Job Duties:
· Work closely with the Sales Managers, Sales Directors, and other sales engineering leadership to successfully bid and win project work with Vanderlande’s largest customers.
· Mentor junior staff and assess the quality of the work being done by multiple sales teams and bid efforts.
· Ensure the bid teams prepare information according to Vanderlande’s pricing principals.
· Assist in the coordination of the workload between multiple offices and on multiple bids simultaneously.
· Assist with the preparation of material, data, and analysis for use in negotiations – both internal and external with the customer.
· Monitor internal updates in relevant technology, software, and tooling and assist in the validation and analysis of the impact on project bids.
· Collaborate with the pricing department in the development and implementation of new pricing codes and improving current pricing codes.
· Monitor and validate changes made in pricing (from a client perspective) when internal updates are made, evaluating and analyzing the impact on current and past bids.
· Work with pricing leaders on the analysis and methodology used to price systems.
· Assist domain management with the growth of global teams and ensure the quality of work is consistent, repeatable, and efficient.
· Assist in the development of metrics, summaries, and details as requested during client negotiations that provide historical, scope, and technical changes.
Qualifications:
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering (any) or a related field of study, AND Five (5) years experience in the job offered or related occupation conducting pricing analysis for warehouse and parcel systems.
Alternatively, position requires a master’s degree in engineering (any) or a related field of study, AND three (3) years experience in the job offered or related occupation conducting pricing analysis for warehouse and parcel systems.
Position also requires demonstrated experience with the following:
· Creating and using pricing templates.
· Mentoring and training global team on pricing Material Handling Equipment systems and conveying equipment.
· Developing, implementing, and enhancing pricing codes.
· Managing sales processes in the automated material handling industry.
· Working with Material Handling Systems focused on conveying equipment for large clients and Material Handling Equipment (mechanical equipment, controls, or electrical).
· Designing and engineering warehouse and parcel systems using 3D modeling software (Navis and 3D CAD).
· Performing data analytics using Excel, including developing pricing models, creating pivot tables, integrating datasets, and generating graphical representations.
