Job TitleSafety Test Engineer
Job Description
You execute objective and reproducible (IEC 60601) safety compliance tests as part of the Quality LAB. You set up tests, interpret them and report the results.
Your role:
-
Ensure that Philips’ Medical Devices fulfil the requirements of the latest international safety standards. You play an important role in ensuring the safety of our products, patients and healthcare workers worldwide

The Quality LAB is a small, independent, internal Test Laboratory. You will test a wide variety of products and work closely together with your colleagues, the internal customer and certifying agencies

You are responsible to plan and perform tests on the hardware of Philips’ Medical Devices. You are able to analyze and interpret test results and to prepare and compile test reports as part of product certification

You execute the required test in accordance with prescribed procedures, according to international standards.

You set-up, test, maintain and troubleshoot test and measurement equipment, including software, for the purpose of testing and measuring assemblies and/or final systems and related items

You keep a strict calibration regime for our test and measurement equipment
You're the right fit if:

You have experience in (IEC60601) safety compliance testing or at least 5 years experience in hardware design/testing in a Medical Device environment

Degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, physics

You can translate new standards or changes to standards into new procedures or updates

You are Quality-conscious, disciplined and accurate
-
You possess good communication skills

You can work under time pressure and autonomously
