Job Purpose
This position will lead continuous improvement activities in areas such as risk analysis, ergonomics, safety training, accident investigations, and overall safety program to improve the health and safety of employees with Graco worldwide.
Essential Duties
Manage the company’s safety program for all US and regional locations to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local regulations, and international regulations.
Responsible for compliance with all safety training, policy updates, and periodic evaluation procedures for improvement and adequacy.
Conducts on-site reviews and audits of all operations and facilities.
Is the primary point of contact for Graco international safety requests.
Develop and implement accident investigation, data analysis, and recurrence prevention programs and procedures.
Partner with facility and department managers, supervisors, and engineers to drive safety improvements.
Direct safety programs to ensure a safe environment and comply with safety standards.
Educate and provide ongoing analysis to all stakeholders within Graco (such as Factory Managers, Cell Managers/supervisors, and Safety Committees) to raise attention to costs/trends and opportunities for improvement in the areas of safety.
Facilitate and oversee the operation of Safety Committees. Emphasizing the importance of the committee members leading the Committees’ efforts. Act as an expert resource for Committee.
Responsible for the internal accident and injury reports; including OSHA record keeping and reporting.
Provide internal investigation and resolution of ergonomic complaints/issues.
Ensure compliance with all state, federal and local legislation including, but not limited to OSHA.
Subject matter expert for safety and can be called upon for legal and employee relations matters.
Work collaboratively with Environmental Specialist on approval of new and existing chemical products introduced to all US Graco facilities and if necessary, operations outside the US, and on projects where there is a need for both safety and environmental expertise.
Manage all employee safety activities in the event of an environmental spill resulting in employee exposure.

Position Requirements
Education/Certifications
BS in safety or related field.
CSP a plus.
Experience
Minimum of five years experience with safety and hazard prevention programs that relate to a manufacturing environment.
Experience with design and administration of safety programs.
Knowledge of ergonomic principles and their application in industrial and office settings.
Skills/Competencies
Ability to independently assess an occupational/non-occupational injury/illness, develop and implement a case management plan, including a return to work coordination.
Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
Subject matter expert in OSHA and other occupational health and safety standards.
Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Certification in adult CPR and First Aid.
Ability to travel.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
