ATI is seeking to hire a Senior Safety Specialist (Site Leader) to support our Washington, PA Operations as part of our Specialty Rolled Products business unit.
The successful candidate will be required to lead advanced safety processes, programs, injury prevention techniques, and ensure compliance directives are achieved. Additionally, this individual must demonstrate effective leadership skills and effectively incorporate safety programs on the plant floor.
Essential Functions
- Strong support of line management using leading indicator metrics to analyze, direct, and assess the safety process.
- Develop EHS related policies and procedures.
- Serve as a technical resource and monitor regulatory compliance programs.
- Identify, evaluate, and control occupational exposures through aggressive and frequent worksite hazard analysis.
- Train the management team and workforce in key program elements.
- Conduct audits and develop EHS improvement strategies.
- Lead a joint company/union safety committee and work closely with all employees to facilitate an injury-free environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Safety Science or Safety and Health Management
- Three years of professional safety experience

- Experience working within a manufacturing environment and/or experience in the metals industry
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Applicants must have a working knowledge of Windows based computer applications
- Applicants must be self-motivated
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
