Job Description:
The Senior Safety Leader will support the organization by providing site safety leadership, implementing safety directives, improving safety performance, and ensuring facility safety policies and procedures are aligned with Corporate culture and governmental regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety-related programs and processes meant to prevent injuries, fires, or other workplace accidents
- Inspect the workplace and identify / address potential safety hazards
- Create and deliver safety training programs educating employees on safe working practices, appropriate equipment operation, and emergency procedures
- Investigate incidents or accidents, gather and analyze statistics, and make recommendations for improvements
- Prepare and submit accident reports in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Maintain safety data sheets, MSDS online, and secondary container labeling system
- Coordinate shipping of hazardous materials throughout all Green Bay locations
- Prepare or complete forms/websites related to safety for customers
- Administer worker’s compensation program
- Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or related field or a minimum of 8 years of experience
- Experience in environmental health and safety is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, ISO, DOT) for product and facility safety
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work effectively
- Ability to build trust and confidence with management and associates
- Strategic thinking and leadership skills.
