Senior Ruby Software Engineer - Poland (remote)

What you’ll do:

  • Build reliable, scalable features/integrations with a focus on security, testability and extensibility.
  • Collaborate with our product and design teams to define feature specifications and timelines.
  • Engage in technical discussions to design new solutions and architecture.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to maintain high code standards.
  • Support an open, positive, and energized culture.
  • Encourage innovation and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that technical decisions support our goals around quality, high performance, scalability, reliability, availability, and security.

Who you are:

  • You're a professional with 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Strongly proficient in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
  • You understand how to test your code.
  • You have a grasp of SQL and relational databases.
  • You know principles of building maintainable and scalable solutions.
  • You have experience of using and building REST APIs with JSON.
  • Writing readable, testable and reliable code is a priority for you.
  • You're not biased toward a specific technology and are more interested in finding the right tools and patterns for the job.
  • You have good interpersonal skills, and are able to collaborate and communicate in person or via Slack or email efficiently.
  • E-commerce experience, especially working with payment providers or other external services, is a big plus.
