As a Senior Royalty Analyst - Financial Contract Reporting you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex financial agreements, identifying and resolving royalty calculation discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate royalty payments to our partners.  Reporting to our Senior Manager - Financial Contract Reporting, you will contribute to the unification of the EMEA Financial Contract Reporting team. Your ultimate goal is to ensure the best possible service to our licensors. You will have a strong background in financial analysis and contract management as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • For EMEA anime rights, you will be in charge of gathering revenues from licensees, managing the recoupment of minimum guarantee and the communication to the accounting  of the figures to be invoiced.
  • For EMEA anime rights, you will be in charge of tracking payments from licensees in order to trigger the report to the licensor.
  • For EMEA anime and German mangas, you will be in charge of computation and communication of the royalty report for Licensors on a quarterly or biannual basis.
  • You will be part of the reporting package and perform royalty-related financial analysis as requested.
  • Working with the global international team, you will prepare financial decks, perform royalty-related financial analysis, and ensure that all financial obligations per agreements are met.
  • You will work on monthly and quarterly data validations and reconciliations, manage or assist external inquiries and correspondence with licensors, and coordinate with Accounts Payable on billing and payment validation.
  • You will assist with the implementation of new systems to improve our royalty processes. You will perform User Acceptance Testing for those new systems, prepare documentation for systems and processes. 
  • You will be in charge of optimization and automatization of remaining manual tasks.
  • You will work on the design and development of analytical dashboards and reportings to be able to get a critical and accurate view of risks and opportunities
  • You will work closely with our legal and business affairs teams to ensure that contracts are structured in a way that is operable and understood by internal stakeholders.
  • You will work collaboratively with other members of the finance team to ensure that financial reports are accurate and up-to-date.
  • You will become the dedicated business partners to EMEA sales teams, providing them the data needed to understand the performance and build their strategy, as well as integration efforts.

  • You have 5+ years of experience in accounting, entertainment, or a related field with exposure to third party participation, royalty reporting, and content accounting.
  • You have experience in international deal reporting and analysis in a large corporate setting, and you know how to read and interpret legal agreements for contractual royalties obligations and are familiar with content accounting and related contractual obligations.
  • You have the ability to analyze large quantities of data, resolve discrepancies, and deliver data-driven answers.
  • You have strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of organization, both internal and external.
  • You anticipate problems (and bring up when appropriate), demonstrate strong prioritization and organization skills, catch errors, and take action to complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • You exercise good judgment to proactively anticipate and solve problems and prioritize effectively.
  • You approach your work with a positive approach, and a desire to contribute to a fun and collaborative global working environment.
  • You demonstrate the flexibility and resiliency needed to adapt and thrive in a rapidly growing and maturing company.
  • You have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, dashboarding tools,  experience using large-scale ERP and Royalties systems.
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and German is a plus.
