As our Senior Risk & Compliance Specialist, you'll play a key role in helping our Insurance business make confident, informed decisions by embedding practical risk management and compliance into everyday operations.
This is an opportunity to partner with leaders across the business, influence strategic initiatives and help navigate an evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring we continue to deliver great outcomes for our members.
This role is available on an initial 12month Contract or Secondment basis.
What you'll be doing
As a trusted advisor, you'll work closely with leaders and stakeholders to strengthen risk and compliance capability across the Insurance business. You'll:
Partner with leaders to identify, assess and manage operational and strategic risks.
Facilitate risk reviews and support effective risk-based decision making.
Review the effectiveness of controls and recommend practical improvements.
Support business continuity planning and resilience activities.
Provide compliance advice on projects, process improvements and business change.
Monitor emerging regulatory developments and help implement required changes.
Prepare meaningful risk reporting and insights for senior leadership and governance committees.
Build capability by coaching stakeholders and promoting a proactive risk culture.
About you
You're an experienced risk or compliance professional who enjoys partnering with the business rather than sitting on the sidelines. You can simplify complex regulatory requirements, influence stakeholders and provide pragmatic advice that balances commercial outcomes with effective risk management.
You'll bring:
Experience in risk and/or compliance within insurance or financial services.
Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks and compliance principles.
Exposure to regulatory frameworks, with knowledge of APRA, ASIC and the General Insurance Code of Practice highly regarded.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complexity into practical solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence influencing at all levels.
A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
