Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant to join our Independent Pricing Verification (IPV) team, specializing in the valuation and risk analysis of Residential and Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS/CMBS).
This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in fixed income markets, valuation methodologies, and risk analytics while contributing to the integrity of Wells Fargo's financial reporting and risk management framework.

In this role, you will:
- Perform daily valuation governance and price validation activities for Residential and Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities, including independent assessment of trader marks, valuation exceptions, and pricing discrepancies.
- Review, analyze, and challenge pricing models, market data, valuation methodologies, and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to governance standards.
- Be responsible for production processes, data reconciliation, valuation documentation, and model governance in alignment with risk and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve valuation, data, production, and modeling issues while ensuring timely delivery of IPV and Risk Analytics commitments.
- Monitor, escalate, and report valuation risks, breaches, and control exceptions, partnering with Front Office, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to drive resolution.
- Lead or participate in moderately complex risk analytics and valuation control initiatives, delivering insights and decision strategies to support Independent Price Verification (IPV) and risk management objectives.
- Collaborate with business partners to support new product reviews, pricing methodology enhancements, valuation adjustments, and control framework improvements.
- Lead projects, mentor junior team members, and contribute to process optimization, automation, and increased operational efficiency.
- Partner across Enterprise Risk and Control functions to develop consistent valuation, modeling, and governance practices across asset classes.
- 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in fixed income markets, including underwriting, sales & trading, research, valuation, pricing verification, or risk oversight of capital markets instruments.
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a quantitative, finance, economics, mathematics, or business-related discipline.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to value complex securities, identify risks, challenge assumptions, and deliver actionable insights.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of partnering with stakeholders across business lines and presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and results-oriented professional with a strong work ethic, sound judgment, and commitment to excellence.
