A DAY IN THE LIFE

 

We’re looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our team! In this role, you will support our revenue month-end close processes and will be pivotal in collecting, verifying, and analyzing the company’s financial information and assisting in the preparation of our financial reports. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP and have experience with general accounting operations within the SaaS industry in particular the job requires earlier experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition and preferably in a SaaS Company. In this role, you will report directly to our Senior Accounting Manager.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

 

  • Champion our customer contract and invoicing procedures, including item and pricing setup and management, and related revenue reporting deliverables
  • Evaluation of our customer contracts in accordance with ASC606 Revenue Recognition
  • Assess our product catalog to prepare comprehensive and meaningful reports
  • Support revenue recognition entries for our revenue streams across our entities
  • Assist with our monthly revenue financial reporting close procedures in accordance with US GAAP, including preparation and/or detailed review of journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Partner with cross-functional business partners to foster working relationships, assist in implementing best practices, support digital transformation initiatives, and collaborate for continuous process improvements to ensure operational excellence and scalability
  • Facilitate audit requests from external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with internal corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed

 

WHAT YOU’LL ADD TO DUDA

 

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Must speak, read and write fluently in English as the Company operates in English worldwide and this role will work closely with our US offices
  • Team player, friendly, approachable, and likes to have fun while working hard!
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills with an understanding of US GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with large volumes of data with speed and accuracy
  • High-level personal excellence and accountability, and proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in ERP Systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Ability and interest to learn new systems and technologies
  • Knowledge and prior experience with ASC 606 required with specific revenue recognition under ASC 606 for a SaaS Company is a plus 
  • CPA or equivalent professional accountant designation is a plus
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
  • Experience operating within SOX control environment is a plus

Our Florianopolis, SC office has a hybrid work schedule, working in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Applicants must be willing to work from our office.
