Software is being rewritten in real time. AI agents are starting to write more code than humans do, at a speed no security team has ever had to match, and that single shift is opening up the biggest opportunity our industry has seen in a decade. We're not bracing for it, we're building the company that owns it.
Snyk is building the next generation security platform where security isn't a set of tools people operate. It's a team of security agents working alongside your engineers, finding, fixing, and governing risk at the speed software is now built. These agents work alongside both the company build and the agents they adopt. Security stops being a queue of work waiting for people, and becomes a coordinated workforce companies direct and trust.
Job Summary
Snyk is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to own day-to-day revenue and marketplace operations, monthly close procedures, and revenue accounting. This is a highly visible role on our Quote-to-Cash finance team, working closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure timely and accurate accounting of revenue (ASC 606) and related contract costs. Beyond core reporting, you will independently drive strategic system and process improvements and lead high priority projects, including NetSuite integration improvements and revenue metric visualization and calculation in Sigma and Claude. You will act as a crucial translator between raw data and actionable insights, ensuring our financial systems scale with Snyk's growth.
About the Team
You'll join Snyk's Quote-to-Cash finance team, which owns the accuracy and scalability of revenue accounting from deal structuring through financial reporting. The team partners closely with Deal Desk, Strategy Ops, FP&A, and Business Applications to keep Snyk's revenue systems and processes running smoothly as the company scales.
What You’ll Do
Lead workstreams within special projects, such as implementing Sigma and Claude Skills to automate revenue reporting and controls and to visualize key performance metrics.
Own the evaluation of the accounting impact of contract restructures and modifications, confirming they are treated appropriately in NetSuite.
Own key month end processes, including review of subscription data within NetSuite and final fluctuation analyses by customer.
Design, perform, and automate data reconciliations across critical system integrations, independently monitoring and resolving data flow discrepancies.
Partner with the Business Applications team to define and drive ongoing process improvements and enhancements across the Quote-to-Cash technical stack, including Salesforce, Zone Billing, and NetSuite ARM.
Advise Deal Desk, Strategy Ops, and FP&A on accounting matters and deal structures, including contract cancellations, driving issues through to resolution.
Perform SSP analysis and own updates to revenue recognition rules and allocations as needed.
Manage the preparation and review of audit support schedules, serving as a primary point of contact for financial audit inquiries.
Prepare and review key revenue reports and financial metrics, including external quarterly and annual financial reporting disclosures such as ARR and related metrics, RPO, and disaggregated revenue.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA a plus.
2-3+ years of experience in revenue accounting or public accounting.
Working knowledge of ASC 606 principles and internal controls, with the ability to apply them independently.
Hands-on experience with NetSuite ARM and Salesforce.
Experience with Sigma, Claude, and Zone Billing highly preferred.
Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
A natural ability to break down complex problems into actionable tasks and drive them to resolution with minimal oversight.
Incredible attention to detail, particularly regarding contract analysis, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
An agile mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, especially around automating key processes via Sigma, Claude, system automation, or other AI tools.
