Sr Research Associate, Biotherapeutics
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, and highly motivated scientist to join our team. With a background in conjugation, purification and analytical characterization of antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), and a track record of contributing to multidisciplinary drug discovery teams, this position will play a critical role in driving Treeline’s portfolio forward. You will also play a key role in developing the next generation of ADCs using bioconjugation, biochemistry, analytical chemistry techniques and various state-of-the-art scientific approaches. You will closely collaborate with other biochemists, medicinal chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists to enable forward progress of drug discovery programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform, develop and optimize conjugation methods to generate high quality ADCs to support drug discovery campaigns.
- Conduct routine purification and analytical characterization of ADCs.
- Evaluate physicochemical properties, stability and developability of lead ADC candidates.
- Design and conduct well controlled high-quality experiments to answer key scientific questions.
- Contribute to evaluation and development of new approaches and technologies within the bioconjugation group.
- Closely collaborate with medicinal chemistry, protein science and biology teams.
- Maintain an electronic lab notebook in compliance with company policies.
- Help establish the bioconjugation group and contribute to building a culture that embraces continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related discipline with at least two years of experience in antibody conjugation.
- Experience with purification and analytical characterization of ADCs using AKTA, UF/DF, UV-Vis, LC-MS, SEC, SDS-Page is required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
