About This Opportunity

Join a visionary, collaborative and purpose-driven research team investigating the relationship between Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and neurodegeneration through a newly funded project focused on extracellular vesicles and microglial activation. Working within a supportive research environment, you will provide critical clinical and technical expertise to support the successful delivery of a clinically significant research program. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful discovery while working alongside multidisciplinary experts committed to creating change together through innovative and impactful research.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating clinical study setup activities, participant recruitment and management of blood and postmortem brain tissue samples.

  • Developing and managing REDCap databases, ensuring clinical data quality, integrity and compliance requirements are maintained.

  • Preparing, submitting and managing complex human research ethics applications and related documentation.

  • Contributing to scientific writing, literature reviews, funding applications, presentations, reports and dissemination of research outcomes.

About You
  • Completion of a degree qualification in biomedical science, neuroscience, psychology or a closely related discipline. A PhD in a relevant field is desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or coordinating clinical research studies and a sound understanding of clinical study processes.

  • Extensive experience preparing, submitting and managing human research ethics applications.

  • Strong technical capability in building, maintaining and managing REDCap databases and clinical datasets.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience contributing to scientific writing, reports and literature reviews.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary stakeholders and independently manage routine research activities.

  • Highly developed organisational skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach to handling clinical data and biological samples.

  • Previous research experience in traumatic brain injury, neurodegeneration, extracellular vesicles or neurological disease will be advantageous.
