Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Reporting Manager to join our finance team in Pakistan. This role will provide overall leadership and drive results for the reporting team, ensuring strong management of financial records and accurate and timely reporting. The Senior Reporting Manager must be equally comfortable diving deep as well as elevating insights into a clear financial story that resonates with senior executives and stakeholders.  This role will require a deep understanding of accounting principles, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret financial data to support decision-making.

As part of a fast-growing and expanding company, this is a unique opportunity to help structure and scale the finance function. This role will play a pivotal role in designing processes, building capabilities, and influencing decisions that directly shape the company’s growth journey and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders.

This role requires a proactive and hands-on individual, with the flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when required to meet critical business deadlines. Given the dynamic nature of the company and level of growth, this role requires an individual who will both provide strong guidance to the team in addition to getting into the details and delivering and enhancing aspects of the work (i.e. be both a reviewer and executor of key work).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consolidation: Lead the consolidation process and provide clear insights and analysis to executives.
  • Financial Reporting: Review and optimize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee the management of the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments are accurate and complete.
  • Account Reconciliation: Oversee monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Audit Support: Key point of contact for internal and external audits.
  • Month-End/Year-End Close: Manage and ensure the timely and accurate completion of the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Cost Accounting: Provide insight into cost accounting and support decision-making processes related to cost control and profitability analysis.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Mentorship: Mentor and provide guidance to reporting team
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
  • CA certification (preferred).
  • 8-10+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  • Experience working at a Big 5 accounting firm (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, BDO) or within an international/multinational company is required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across global teams.
  • Proactive self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong accountability to deliver on time, with high quality
  • Ability to manage, coach and inspire staff to achieve high performance
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when business needs require.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with financial reporting for public or private companies.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with proven ability to craft financial storytelling for executive audiences
