Job Title: Senior Reporting and Operations Analyst
Job Summary
The Senior Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise‑level business intelligence reports and dashboards that support strategic, operational, and executive decision‑making. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, data engineering, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into scalable, accurate, and insightful reporting solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in data modeling, reporting tools, SQL, and business analysis, with the ability to drive reporting standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality dashboards, reports, and self‑service BI solutions.
Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable reporting and visualizations.
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and performance of BI assets across the organization.
Develop and maintain KPI frameworks, metrics definitions, and reporting standards.
Data Analysis & Insights
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and performance drivers.
Provide insights and recommendations to support business strategy and operational improvements.
Perform ad‑hoc analysis to answer time‑sensitive business questions
Support sales and marketing departments with data driven information to target relevant market share and reach goals
Support Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables teams to monitor invoice collection, reconcile variances between ledgers and reports, and ensure accurate billing to clients
Support other general operational reporting needs
Data Management & Modeling
Partner with data engineering teams on data models, data marts, and semantic layers.
Validate data quality and reconcile discrepancies across multiple data sources.
Optimize queries, dashboards, and reports for performance and scalability.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted analytics partner to senior leaders and business teams.
Lead requirements gathering sessions and manage reporting deliverables end‑to‑end.
Present findings and insights to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Collaborate regularly with various departments and staff members to generate Business Performance reports and metrics for overall strategy development
Governance & Best Practices
Establish and enforce BI governance, documentation, and version control standards.
Mentor and support junior BI analysts and reporting developers as required.
Stay current with BI tools, visualization best practices, and analytics trends.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a related field
(Equivalent professional experience may be considered)
Experience
Skilled in business intelligence, reporting, or data analytics roles.
Proven experience delivering enterprise‑level dashboards and reports.
Experience working directly with senior business stakeholders and executives.
Finance industry experience
Technical Skills
Advanced SQL (complex joins, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning).
Strong experience with BI tools such as: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
Experience with relational databases and data warehouses (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift).
Solid understanding of: Data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), ETL/ELT concepts, KPI and metrics design
Experience with Excel for advanced analysis (Power Query, Power Pivot preferred).
Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS).
Experience with DAX (for Power BI) or similar analytical languages.
Hands on Experience with Databricks.
Experience using AI productivity tools such as GitHub Co-pilot, Cursor AI, Claude Code.
