Trusted by over 2,000,000 users from 300,000 companies globally, we help people run high-stakes processes and make important decisions with less stress, higher quality, and shorter hours.

Ideals Virtual Data Room (VDR): Secure document sharing and collaboration for due diligence, fundraising, corporate reporting, licensing, clinical trials, and other complex transactions.

Ideals Board: Board and leadership collaboration platform for faster, safer, and more compliant decision-making.

The role

As part of our ongoing global operations across 35+ countries with 500+ team members, we are seeking a Senior Reporting Accountant to join our team remotely in Brazil, ideally based in São Paulo.

In this role, your focus is to independently manage end-to-end statutory and tax reporting for our Brazilian entity, acting as the local representative of Fin Ops. You will ensure and strengthen compliance with Brazilian regulatory requirements, safeguard data quality, and foster informed decision-making by leadership - collaborating closely with Treasury, Tax, Legal, Billing, and reporting directly to the Manager of Subsidiary Accounting.

This is an excellent opportunity to centralize Brazil-specific accounting expertise in-house and grow within a highly rated global tech company.

What you will do
  • Own end-to-end local accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, statutory adjustments, and review of accounting entries.

  • Prepare and own statutory financial statements under BR GAAP

  • Manage SPED ECD/ECF reporting (statutory accounting books and corporate income tax reporting)

  • Prepare and reconcile DCTF & Federal Tax Declarations, ensuring accurate monthly federal tax reporting

  • Perform corporate income tax base reconciliation, non-deductible items review, and deferred tax validation

  • Support Brazilian Transfer Pricing documentation and intercompany disclosures

  • Handle tax audits, inspections, and regulator requests, acting as the primary point of contact for local authorities

  • Advise internal stakeholders on Brazil-specific accounting, tax, and compliance matters, translating local requirements into practical business actions.

  • Automate and optimize routine reporting workflows to ensure zero critical audit or tax issues

What you bring
  • Active CRC (Conselho Regional de Contabilidade) registration - either CRC-SP or active registration in another Brazilian state with proper authorization to practice in São Paulo

  • B2+ English proficiency - both written and spoken for communication with international teams

  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, including hands-on ownership of Brazilian statutory and tax compliance

  • Experience with corporate and federal tax compliance (SPED, DCTF, IRPJ/CSLL) and transfer pricing documentation

  • Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets

  • Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system

  • Proven ability to work independently and end-to-end, not only preparing drafts for external consultants

  • High attention to detail, strong ownership, and comfort working with regulators and auditors directly

Nice to have
  • Knowledge of IFRS

  • Exposure to indirect and payroll-related tax reporting (ISS/ICMS/IPI, eSocial/EFD-Reinf) and BACEN/FX regulatory reporting

Our assessment process
  • Screening call with the Talent Acquisition Specialist (30 mins)

  • Test Task (around 3 hours)

  • Competency-based interview with the Talent Acquisition Specialist (around 1 hour)

  • Interview with the Subsidiary Accounting Manager (30 mins)
