This position is based in Milwaukee, WI. Hybrid environment 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

How will you make an impact?
As a Senior Analyst, you will be a part of the Reinsurance team that is responsible for monitoring, managing, and reporting on our reinsurance agreements, as well as providing analytical information to Finance leaders to aid in their decision-making processes. You will also assist in the compilation of data for our regulatory reporting.
This is accomplished by:
- Verifying the accuracy of the monthly cession and assumed processing of premium and/or loss transactions within the reinsurance system to ensure compliance with MGIC’s reinsurance programs. Validating the monthly process and proactively engaging the cross function team, if changes are needed
- Query reinsurance database using BI tools to prepare and deliver precise monthly/quarterly reports, schedules and documentations to meet the requirements of reinsurers, management companies, government regulators, and senior management
- Generating monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports from the reinsurance system for analysis of reinsurance premiums, losses, and exposure, etc.
- Actively participate in the implementation process of new agreements, enhancements and upgrades within the reinsurance system. Develop a strong understanding of the reinsurance system
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand the reinsurance function's dependencies and impact across departments, and gain expertise in MGIC’s specific reinsurance programs
- Interacting with internal and external auditors by providing reporting requests and answering questions related to our reinsurance programs
- Ensuring accurate reinsurance and accounting control procedures are maintained
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related fields; CPA is a plus
- Experience: More than 5 years of recent experience performing complex work in accounting, finance, analytics, or reinsurance business units
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of SAS, SQL or other database programming languages; experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Statutory accounting principles, state insurance regulations and SEC regulations is a plus

Pay Range:
$85,840.00 - $145,930.00
This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions. It is not typical to initiate pay at the top of the range to account for internal equity and allow for future and continued salary growth
