    Job Description

    Our Far North QLD IPAR Team have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant based in Mackay.

    Are you an experienced Allied Health Professional from a Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Exercise Physiology background seeking a role with autonomy, flexibility, variety and the ability to structure your own day?

    In this diverse role as a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant, you will providing occupational rehabilitation services across Mackay and surrounding regions to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

    Strong ability to perform independently will be important for this role.

    Some of your day to day includes:

    • Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks) 
    • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs and partner collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
    • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
    • Complete a variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline specific allied health skills, such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments.

    Qualifications

    • Tertiary Qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology
    • Full Professional Registration/Accreditation as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist
    • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to confidently liaise with insurers, medical practitioners, employers and employees.
    • Evidence of accurate information gathering and analysis in order to provide thorough and comprehensive assessments.
    •  Ability to consistently provide high level customer service and grow business by way of increased referrals
    • Proven organisational and time management skills and ability to perform independently and contribute to the development of others.
