About the RoleRabobank’s COO Domain’s Regulatory Reporting & Data Quality Team is responsible for managing & ensuring the accuracy of regulatory reporting (FATCA/CRS/AIIR/annual statements etc). The team has an opening in Sydney for a 12-month fixed term contract for a Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst.
Reporting to Senior Manager Regulatory Reporting & Data Quality, this role will initially support the implementation of CRS 2.0 starting with New Zealand as the first focus, followed by Australia. This is hands-on discovery & analysis work - ideal for someone who is naturally inquisitive & enjoys unpacking how reports are structured end-to-end. You will work to understand the story behind the data, map processes, & analyse the impact of regulatory change on existing reporting & processes.
Top Role Accountabilities:- Assessing regulatory changes & analysing the impact on current reporting through impact assessment
- Identifying additional data or business-rule changes required for regulatory reporting
- Gathering, analysing, & documenting business requirements related to regulatory reporting
- Conducting in-depth data analysis, process mapping, & gap analysis to identify opportunities for standardisation & optimisation
- Collaborating effectively with stakeholders across IT, Tax, Finance & Risk to ensure smooth execution of regulatory reporting initiatives/changes
- Documenting requirements clearly for IT delivery teams
- Supporting remediation of reporting issues & working with IT on report fixes
- Analysing regulatory reporting processes & data to identify trends, issues, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement, & provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders
- Driving process improvements across the regulatory reporting lifecycle
- Undertaking detailed analysis of data from generated reports including performing data validation, variance & quality checks to ensure accuracy & consistency of reporting
- Ensuring data accuracy & integrity for timely, high-quality regulatory reporting
- Business Analyst/Reporting Analyst experience working on regulatory reports
- Proven experience in a role covering documentation, facilitation, data discovery/sources, data lineage, data analysis including data quality & reporting in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Experience in the resolution of reporting issues including operational risks, audit points & compliance requirements that arise are adequately identified, assessed & mitigated with controls
- Strong stakeholder experience of dealing with business, IT, Risk, Compliance & Tax stakeholders
- Excellent coordination skills to bring people &/or tasks together to achieve outcomes
- Advanced Excel skills
- An ability to drive solutions to assist in supporting tactical & strategic initiatives
- Solid attention to detail, with the ability to step back & see the big picture when the situation requires
- Experience dealing with ambiguity, flexible & adaptable in response to changing requirement & scope, yet still delivering quality outcomes
