We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Analyst to join UHC's fast-paced legal department and enjoy a challenging variety of duties.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Please note, certain cities with large UHG campuses will require working in the office for a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Submitting, tracking, monitoring and successfully concluding state and federal filings to obtain and maintain licenses
- Providing assistance and support to internal departments by gathering information, researching the law, and preparing legal filings and documents
- Researching statutes and regulations
- Interacting with regulators and internal personnel at all levels to gather necessary information, make license filings, provide updates and answer questions around licensing issues
- Reviewing and drafting various types of licensing documents
- Serving as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues relating to licensing

Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in the health insurance industry, managed care industry or a federal or state government health care program
- 1+ years of experience in developing and maintaining solid business relationships with internal and external customers
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a legal services specialist, compliance/regulatory affairs or equivalent position, preferably in a regulated industry such as insurance
- Experience working with regulators
- Demonstrated research skills with a variety of vehicles
Soft Skills:
- Proven solid written and oral communication skills
- Proven solid analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize projects
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and work in a fast-paced, heavily matrixed environment
- Ability to work well independently and also succeed in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand and summarize in a logical fashion

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
