Silicon Labs is seeking a full-time Regional Sales Manager to drive our Internet of Things (IoT) strategy and business development activities with particular focus in China. You will engage in executive-level, consultative selling with IoT and Connected Home market leaders including major Chinese Service Providers, Retailers, Platform Providers and Device Manufacturers.  You will engage partners and customers to drive the integration of Silicon Labs connectivity (802.15.4, Bluetooth Smart and sub-GHz), MCUs and sensors.  You will work closely with Field Sales, Product Marketing, Engineering and Company Leadership to grow our IoT Segment.  This would be a great opportunity for you to grow in a sales leadership role in the IoT market. In this role, you will:

What you'll be doing:
  • Manage a team of sales & FAE personnel.

  • Manage and coach distributions to achieve and exceed our company goals and objectives.

  • Manage the direct key accounts for design-ins and promotions, keep close relationship with key personnel.

  • Manage strategy development.

  • Manage the global sales efforts ongoing at all engineering and manufacturing sites. Teamwork with FAE/AE to support customers.

  • Manage program coordination.

  • Manage contact with accounts at a high level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship.

  • Contribute to the culture, values, and success of the company by establishing solid relationships with direct reports, other members of the company’s sales team, distributors and customers.

  • Exemplify high standards in communications, conduct and the execution of business.

  • Receive assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect immediate organization.

  • Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. 

  • Develop and administer schedules, performance requirements.

  • May have budget responsibilities.

  • Other duties as required.

What is required for this role:
  • Electronics or related bachelor’s degree or equivalent of training. An advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience requirement.

  • 7+ years’ experience working with or selling wireless, embedded hardware or software, or cloud product lines to Chinese IoT markets. Team leadership is a must.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with good presentation skills.

  • Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin as well as strong interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to interact with other company departments 

  • Proven ability to multi-task

  • Proven ability to operate under pressure and high stress environment

  • Proven ability to interact with engineers on a technical level

  • Outstanding customer interface skills

  • Strong understanding of IC architectures and mixed signal products, experience on wireless products, MCU etc. Broad-based products sales and supports will be preferred.
